GRADS Meeting April 10, 2025

Middlebrook Community Room 7:00 p.m.

Three people attended the Grant Roberts Area Disability Supports meeting.

Boost for Teachers/Mentors

Congratulations to grant recipients Karen Siriban, Harlyn Perlado, Michelle Greseth, Lori Borgen, and May Amodia. Rachael Johnson shared a picture of the check presentations that appeared in the Sisseton Courier on March 11, 2025. She will send the picture and summary to The Grant County review, too. Rachael Johnson will take/get pictures of May Amodia’s t-shirt project. Charlotte Athey will write an article about it for publication in local papers.

Connection Crew at the Commons

This group, which benefits young adults with disabilities from the Sisseton area, is grateful for the grant money and for the advice/help we gave regarding attaining non-profit status.

Website

A thank you note and check was sent to Cheryl Pocklington in appreciation for her work on gradisabilitysupports.org. The website is kept up-to-date due to the generous donation of her time and talent.

Benefit Rummage Sale

There will be a benefit rummage sale on Saturday, June 21, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Middlebrook Commmunity Room, 902 E. Milbank Avenue, Milbank. Set-up will be late afternoon/early evening on Friday, June 20, 2025. Charlotte Athey has signs and will make posters. Rachael Johnson will put ad in the papers (Sisseton Courier, The Grant County Review, Tidbits, The Valley Shopper, and the Ortonville Independent) and advertise on the Chamber Calendars in Sisseton and Milbank. We plan to be on Facebook, too.

Pizza Hut Fundraiser

We will request to be included in the Pizza Hut program to receive 20% of a day’s sales in Sisseton and Milbank locations.
