GRADS Meeting February 23, 2026

Four people attended the Grant Roberts Area Disability Supports meeting.

Boost for Teachers/Mentors

We reviewed the grant applications. There were 7 requests for funding and we were able to grant $100. to each of our 7 worthy applicants. Congratulations to May Amodia, Sisseton Transition Program (ink for printing t-shirts), Karen Siriban, Sisseton Middle School (button making kits and supplies), Wendy Iverson, Sisseton Project Skills Coordinator ( job fairs and employer contact expenses), Connection Crew at the Commons, Sisseton area (logo development project), Lori Borgen, Tiospa Zina Tribal School (air fryer and utensils for cooking project), Amber Unzen, Milbank (movie outing), and Jody Unzen, Milbank (St. Patrick’s Day party). Congratulations to the recipients.

We request statistics on website usage, to be discussed at our next meeting.

Financial Report

The checking account balance in First Bank and Trust in Milbank was $4,501.09 as of January 30, 2026. We may request a donation from this bank to aid in funding future grants/projects.

Next Meeting

The next GRADS meeting will be on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.at the Middlebrook Community Room, 902 E. Milbank Avenue, Milbank. The annual meeting and election of officers will be followed by our regular meeting.
